Former Industrial Relations Officer at Barbados Employers Confederation

Studied Accounting& Finance at Uni of West Indies

Went to Harrison College, Barbados

 

I enjoy working as part of the BAFA team 

 

 

Jenny Harewood

I have been a BAFA (Reading) Executive Committee Member for over 15 years. I have held several roles during that period - Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Social & Welfare Officer, Floor Member.

 

For the past 13 years, I have been a Senior Marshal organising volunteers to participate as Marshals for the Reading Half Marathon which has raised much-needed funds for the Association.

 

I enjoy working as part of a team and being able to give something back to the community.

 

 

Rodney Harewood

Extensive BAFA experience (including serving as Chair,Treasurer and Executive Committee member)

 

Successfully led many BAFA events

 

Currently leading BAFA's Barbados Heritage Project

 

Carlisle Bovell

I have been a BAFA (Reading) Executive Committee Member for over 10 years and have seen the committee grow and develop into a well oiled-machine, it definitely has its challenges, but we work together to achieve our mutual goals. 

 

During my time on the BAFA committee I have held several roles including Vice Chair, PRO and Floor member. Working as part of a committee whose focus is bringing the community together at multiple events is very interesting and rewarding.

 

I enjoy a bit of golf, tennis and I am a big Chelsea Fan.

 

 

Anesta Vaughan

   I have been a BAFA (Reading) Executive Committee Member for several years 

 

  I play an active role as a member of the PRO TEAM - Public Relationship Officer.

 

  Working with BAFA is interesting and very challenging.

  Successfully led and organised BAFA Gospel Concert

 

  I am a Senior Computer Software Support Engineer

Margaret Vaughan

 

Happy to say that I’m 57 years young.

 

I have been a BAFA member for 3 years, Membership Officer for about 1 ½ years.

 

I really enjoy being a Bafa Member, working with the wider team to provide activities for the Reading Community. 

 

Nigel Chandler

Hi, I’m Nigel Chandler and  have been a BAFA (Reading) Executive Committee Member for last  2 years. 

 

I play an active role as PRO- Public Relationship Officer.

 

Working with commercial businesses to attract sponsorship and helping to raise BAFA's profile within the wider community.

 

The activities I undertake are challenging but very rewarding.

 

In my spare time I love to watch the mighty Arsenal at the Emirates and Formula One. 

 

Richard Weekes

I have been a BAFA (Reading) Executive Committee Member for 3 years. 

 

I am currently the Vice Chair and I manage the Website and Facebook.

 

I have worked within the local community for a number of years within youth football and I hold a FA level One Football Coaching Badge.

 

I find working with BAFA interesting and challenging.
